The Central Bank of Nigeria has retained the Monetary Policy Rate (MPR) at 26.5%.

CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso announced the decision after the Monetary Policy Committee’s 306th meeting in Abuja, marking the second consecutive MPC meeting in 2026 where the benchmark interest rate was left unchanged.
