The 12th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) once again placed the spotlight on the best of African film and television, celebrating outstanding performances, storytelling, directing, and technical excellence across the continent.
This year’s edition featured 32 categories, including jury-decided and audience-voted awards, while also introducing new Indigenous Language categories for North and Central Africa as part of efforts to expand continental representation.
Leading the nominations were productions such as Gingerrr, The Herd, and To Kill A Monkey, with several Nollywood stars and filmmakers earning multiple nods ahead of the ceremony held in Lagos.
