James Faleke has obtained the All Progressives Congress expression of interest and nomination forms on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The APC National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu, formally presented the forms to Faleke at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
The forms, which cost N100 million, were paid for on behalf of the president, marking the official start of Tinubu’s bid for a second term.
Faleke, who represents Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and leads the Tinubu Support Groups, received the documents alongside other party officials during the presentation.
The Independent National Electoral Commission has scheduled the presidential and National Assembly elections for 16 January 2027.
Governorship and state houses of assembly elections are set for 6 February 2027, while party primaries and the resolution of pre-election disputes will take place between 23 April and 30 May 2026.
According to the timetable, campaigns for presidential and National Assembly elections will begin on 19 August, while governorship and state assembly campaigns are expected to commence on 9 September.
