Chief of Staff issues strong disclaimer against non-existent organisation and warns international partners against engagement
The Presidency has issued a formal disclaimer exposing a purported organisation known as the “Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council” as fraudulent and non-existent, warning international partners and the general public against engaging with claims linked to the fake body.
In an official statement issued on Thursday, from the State House, Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, categorically denied that Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi holds any official appointment under the current administration. The disclaimer was issued after the Presidency became aware of attempts by the individual to present himself to the public as holding an official position sanctioned by the Office of the Chief of Staff.
“It has come to the notice of the Federal Government of Nigeria and specifically the Office of the Chief of Staff to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR that a certain Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, under the auspices of an alleged organisation styled as the ‘Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council’ is portraying himself to the general public, as having been appointed by my office,” Gbajabiamila stated.

The Chief of Staff stressed unequivocally that no such structure exists within the federal government.
“The unsuspecting public is hereby advised to note that such an office does not exist under this administration and no appointment has been made in that regard,” the statement read.
Fraud warning issued to international organisations
Gbajabiamila issued specific warnings to all international stakeholders, diplomatic missions and multilateral institutions to disregard any claims or correspondence emanating from the fraudulent organisation.
“Foreign and Diplomatic Missions, Financial and Multilateral Institutions, Development Organisations, Security Agencies and so on are hereby advised to note the contents of this Notice,” the statement declared.
The warning represents an attempt to prevent unsuspecting international organisations from being defrauded through claims of official governmental status or from being manipulated into unlawful transactions based on false representations of authority.
Fraud scheme details and Instagram operations
Investigations revealed that the fraudulent organisation maintains an active social media presence on Instagram, where it represents itself as a legitimate government entity facilitating global partnerships and attracting foreign investment into Nigeria. The organisation claims on its Instagram page to be a government organisation dedicated to “facilitating global partnerships and foreign investment into Nigeria.”
Posts on the Instagram account reveal that the fraudulent body regularly organises so-called “investment summits” using official logos and symbols of the Federal Government of Nigeria, deliberately creating the false impression of government sanction and legitimacy. Prince Adenyemi has been identified in some posts on the Instagram handle as the director-general of the fraudulent organisation.
The use of official government imagery, including the presidential seal and state symbols, constitutes an additional crime beyond impersonation, as it amounts to forgery and unlawful use of government insignia. Such practices are designed to enhance the credibility of the fraud and increase the likelihood that international organisations, investors and financial institutions will engage with the scheme.
Fraud prevention and authenticity verification
The Presidency advised the international community and Nigerian citizens to verify all claims of official governmental status through established diplomatic channels. Authentic governmental communications regarding investment, partnerships or official appointments emanate through the State House, the Office of the President, or official ministry channels—never through social media platforms operated by private individuals.
The statement represents part of broader government efforts to protect Nigeria’s international reputation and prevent fraudulent activities conducted under the guise of governmental authority. Such schemes damage Nigeria’s credibility in international business and investment circles and expose both the nation and unwary investors to significant financial and reputational harm.
