US air strikes in Nigeria meant to end slaughter of Christians – Riley Moore

Riley Moore, a member of the US House of Representatives, claims that the bombardment of terrorist sites in Nigeria was intended to avoid the massacre of Christians.

On Christmas Day, the United States started air attacks against two terrorist sanctuaries in the Bauni forest in Tangaza LGA, Sokoto State.

Moore said that in the previous two years, terrorists had assaulted Christians in Nigeria on Christmas Day. He claimed that US President Donald Trump gave the terrorists a taste of their own medicine by starting attacks on them.

In an X post released accompanied a footage of his Fox News interview, the US senator stated that the air strikes, which were ordered in concert with the Nigerian government, were intended to “end the slaughter of Christians in Nigeria”.

“Obviously, President Trump has finally stood up to this and I do want to point out something very important: the last two Christmases, there has been a massacre of Christians in Nigeria,” he said.

“The tables have absolutely turned this year. The Islamic terrorists in Nigeria were the ones receiving that type of present this year

“So, quite a bit different, the president is totally focused on this. He made that very clear in this attack and and this is a very good first step to addressing this issue

“We did this in coordination with the Nigerian government, which is very important to point out.

“Because this isn’t the United States unilaterally doing this, we are doing this in coordination with the Nigerian government to help secure their country and end the slaughter of Christians in Nigeria.”

The US senator, who visited Nigeria in November, also stated that individuals opposed to the air strikes are “playing to their Islamic radical base, which they now have to appease for whatever reason”.
