Olufemi Oluyede, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), has approved the relocation of senior officers to important command and staff roles.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Appolonia Anele, acting director of army public relations, stated that the new postings affect senior staff officers (PSOs) at army headquarters, general officers commanding (GOCs), corps commanders, commandants of training institutions, and brigade commanders.
Here are the postings:
- Adekunle Adeyinka, major general — Chief of logistics (army)
- A.A. Adekeye, major general — Chief of personnel management (army), and Maj.-Gen.
- T.B. Ugiagbe, major general — Chief of standard and evaluation
- A.A. Idris, major general — Chief of military intelligence (army)
- M.O. Erebulu, major general — Provost marshal (army).
- E.A. Anaryu, major general — Corps commander, supply and transport
- J.E. Osifo, major general — Director-general, Nigerian Army Finance Corporation
- S.A. Akesode, major general — Head of mission, African Union Verification Mission in Tigray, Ethiopia.

Oluyede charged the newly appointed officers to redouble their efforts in sustaining ongoing operations against terrorism, insurgency and other security threats.
The COAS assured that troops’ welfare remained his priority.
