… President Urges APC Governors To Intensify Grassroots Efforts

President Bola Tinubu described the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and its opposition coalition as a “coalition of confusion” during an APC stakeholders’ meeting in Abuja.

Tinubu called on progressive governors to strengthen grassroots engagement, warning that Nigerians are voicing complaints about economic challenges at the local level. He expressed confidence that the APC would attract more governors and coalition members, citing the party’s developmental achievements.

The remarks come amid reports of defections to the ADC by opposition figures, including some PDP and Labour Party members.

ADC leaders responded by accusing Tinubu of distracting from governance failures, particularly on insecurity and economic hardship. The political sparring underscores escalating tensions as parties position for 2027.
