The Lagos State Safety Commission has sealed the Monterosa Construction site following a serious crane incident involving crane operations which occurred at the site.

Preliminary investigation from officials of the Commission, who promptly arrived at the site, reveals that the crane operator, one Mr. Rotimi Adesina sustained fatal injuries during the incident and was transported to Evercare Hospital, Lekki Phase 1, where he later died.

The site’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer was reported to be attending to the injured operator at that time and was therefore unavailable for immediate questioning.

According to the Safety officials, the Project Manager, Mr. Hein Coerzer, and the Company Secretary, Mr. Ndidi Uchechukwu, were engaged on account of the incident and to provide documentation related to the crane. They disclosed that all relevant documents are kept at the Company’s
